It looks like chaos, but it’s more of an intricate puzzle. I take apart the Renaissance and Art Nouveau decorative vignettes and then reassemble them in new patterns that fit the inside surface of a rabbit’s ear. This is a photo from a few days ago. Work on the March Hare mask proceeds apace, by leaps and bounds even — so that now he’s looking both heraldic and mischievous, a regal trickster.
